got bored today

well I'm starting to think you guys are a bad influence I was perfectly happy to have my ugly betty plain old work truck, so I have now started to un-plain my truck, started with the grill and surround.

since they were in pretty rough shape any way I figured I couldn't screw it up too much, so I called a buddy of mine and asked him if he would shoot a new coat of Wimbledon white on my truck in a few weeks and I thought I would paint side stripes the same width as the surround and then a 2in stripe in the middle the same as the dark blue it may not show up in the picture too well but the dark blue has a color shift metallic clear coat on it and tomorrow ill put a standard clear coat over the whole thing, all done in krylon fusion and I'm pretty happy with the results and I'm sure I'm going to get plenty of op. on it

ps please dont mind the mess in my shop it is not normally like that

ill try to do step by step trust me that is the nicest looking part of the truck right now this is a rescue truck (rescued from the junk yard) so it might take me awhile to get going on the exterior this thing is going to look out of place with the rest of the truck for now

bought it from a co. I was working for it needed a trans and they were not going to fix it a scrap yard offered them $600 for it and i gave them $625
its a bare stock truck with now 206000 mi on it I put some trans x in it and got about 15000 more out of it and put a rebuilt tranny in it about 5000 mi ago runs great now

ps I'll get some better pics after i put the new grill back on

pps if any one has three of the center caps for these wheels let me know my 1 cap is lonely

I like the color blue, I'm not into green Ive had enough silver cars in my life that I really hate the color, there is a family curse on red, had Grey t-bird once it looked like a pt-boat, I don't like yellow, purple just ain't my thang, brown is boring, I'm in AZ so black is just too hard to take care of, orange nah, gold ick, did I miss any?
