Need (2) 22" LCD *GAMING* Monitors...
I'm going to wait until I get the actual dual monitor setup and upgrade the rest of the rig then, for now it works.
As for everyone suggesting needing a better card for dual monitors and gaming, I actually only play the occasional WoW and other out-dated games like DoTa. I want the 2 monitors so I can run something low graphics intensive like a browser on the second monitor, and only game on one. I think my card should be able to handle that.
DELL and HP have the best LCD flat screen monitors out there. I would go with dell. HPs gloss screen monitors look fantastic but they have real thick frames and wouldnt work well with dual setup. Tiger direct had the 22" HP for $250 last week.
I'll look into the HP though...
Dell's ultrasharp LCDs cant be matched IMO. Their screens are perfect. Not too thick of a frame. Easy to navigate menus and buttons on the monitor. Sleek looking stand with multiple axis to move. The monitor will turn on its side so you can access all the different types of ports such as AV, USB, S-VIDEO, dvi, vga and others . The thing also elevates/de-elevates and rotates.

I want PERFORMANCE baby!
Although all that stuff is cool, none of it is on my top priority list. Don't get me wrong, I love a sleek and functional housing on a product as much as the next guy, but to me I am looking for the bells and whistles to be found in the color, brightness, contrast, refresh rates, resolutions, etc.

I got them from NewEgg awhile back for $340 each. They're probably a lot cheaper now.
1. That's WoW. It's probably not your computer, it's their servers and the way their bloated software works. Don't even get me started on that game... Blizzard can suck a d***. WC3 is where I stopped.
2. Yes absolutely. That's a gigantic bottleneck, your CPU and RAM are limiting your GPU big time. BUT, if you're just running that game and nothing really more intense than you shouldn't need to upgrade. Some more RAM might help out with your lag issue if it's being overloaded.
Actually it would probably **** on you
. 8800GTX's aren't even comparable to 8800GTS's that have the G92 architecture. Plus the overclocking on these things is insane. I run mine at 800MHz Core, 1800MHz Shader, and 2000MHz Memory as a daily overclock. With the fan cranked up a bit on the stock cooler this thing never sees over 65C even in the most intense games.
Oh, and I get around 17-18k in 3D06. Quad Core QX9650 Engineering Sample at 4.0GHz seems to help a bit...
Agreed.
Not completely agreed. Parts of a computer don't rely THAT heavily on each other. An example is if you have a really old and slow hard drive. That's not going to negatively affect the way that your graphics card puts video on the screen. Or if a computer has a really crappy sound card. That doesn't necessarily make that computer suck.
But yes, certain parts do sometimes rely heavily on other parts. Not all the time though.
That's what I will do then. Although, I must say in WoW I do get noticable FPS droppage nearing major cities or large groups of players. Not horrible, but I notice it. Mind you, I don't even have everything maxxed out either.
Think my computer is the weak point? P4 3.4 HT and 2 gigs of 675 HZ RAM.

Try running crysis in dx10 just on medium graphics with both 22" monitors...that gpu will **** itself. My 8800GTX struggles with just a single 20" monitor on very high graphics. (my comp puts up 13k+ on 3Dmark06)
In dx9 on other games you'd probably be okay though. Lumador if you are using windows XP you'll be fine with a single card. But if you do switch to Vista, you WILL want another card with 2 monitors.
PS i love NewEgg. always get my computer stuff from them.
