Fastest I've driven is 117 MPH in my F-150. Fastest I've been in my F-250 was about 115. Not exactly sure cause my speedo pegs at 100, but my math puts me right at 115 based on RPM. Fastest I've been in a car was 135 mph, a 1993 Taurus SHO.

I find this very hard to believe, unless the bike had some motor work done to it. The very best I could squeeze out of my 03 636 was ~163. This was on a dead flat road running well over a mile at this speed. That was all the bike had. The best that I have seen in a bike mag was ~165 on an 05 that was retuned and had a pipe. The 05s also have better aeros.

What did you do to yours to get the extra 10 or so mph?

My CBR's speedo says 175,, but I don't know how far off it is..

Had a '95 vette that would do 167... and did a few times

'93 Cobra well past the 145 it showed

Mine was completely stock. I was at sea level in Florida if that helps. I also think my bike was some what of a freak. I dynoed it at 108 hp to the wheel. I had a buddy and his was a few HP less than mine with an expensive exhaust. The speedo read 171 but in reality I was probably doing about 159. The speedos are incorrect at such a high speed. I was in a full tuck and by moving my body in certain ways changing the aero dynamics I was able to get up to this speed. If I would move my head up slightly it would lose 2-3 mph. What you saw in the magazine was probably the true speed and not the indicated speed. I have also topped out a 2005 R6 at 167 on the speedo. And when I was doing the 167 my boss pulled away from me in his 2006 C6.

I also used to drag race my 2003 ninja and I could never get the launch down but I would trap at around 120-122mph in the 1/4 and run 11.0-11.1 consistently. And I weighed about 230lbs when I used to ride this bike.

Back in the day, my Bigwheel would do 3-4 miles an hour.

Over 120+ in my 91 Ford Probe GT. Speedo stops at 120, but it was more like 140.
