Have you seen that picture of a GTR sitting next to an older skyline? It makes the GTR look like a pig next to an ant. Beautiful car though.

GT-R Specs
I've seen in 2 places now, Car and Driver and Top Gear (I think) where they speculated its more like 480hp to the wheels and 550 or so at the flywheel. Speculation is 600+ with minor bolt on's. I'm not much for ricer's but that is one mean car.

Good. I've got two of them sold at $10k over MSRP. Can't wait till they get to the dealership.

I guess your dealership was one of the ones that made the $75,000 investment in shop upgrades and tech training just so you could sell two of them... I am fairly sure that the dealer will want part of that markup to recoup the cost of the shop upgrades and sending two techs to Japan. Your commission may not be as good as you think.

Oh, one of those. Nissan added too much ugly to the mix designing those.

Acura/Honda NSX?

The NSX was the first and only Supercar to come to the U.S. from Japan (until this Skyline). While the NSX may not have been the fastest thing on the road, it certainly is one of the best handling and most reliable.

Sorry for the rant, but there are only 2 F1 engine manufacturers that sell cars in the U.S. Ferrari and Honda.

There is no such thing as "minor" bolt ons with this car. It will take lot's of money and work to mod that car...

It got it's @$$ handed to it on one lap of america buy z06's and vipers....

Someone commented on the supra motor being a strong bottom end, 03-04 cobras, Ford GT's, 96-99 Vipers, and I bet the new ZR1 can all can handle 900-1000rwhp without touching the internals.

Show the link where it got it's a$% handed to it... That comment is useless without a link.

Good links:
Video testing 0-60 etc http://www.motortrend.com/av/roadtes...ive/index.html

Here's a list of lap time around Nurburgring! Here's a hint... The Z06 and Ford GT are slower than the GTR.

But the supra was built in 1993 and it was a lot cheaper than the viper or ZR-1.

I guess MOFord21 is too young to remember a car capable of 1000hp on stock internals built 15 years ago!

And I am sure there is a bugatti running around with 1000hp on stock internals also. You guys don't realize the Supra was a normal car that wasn't WAY out of the price range of the normal guy. And it was made 15 years ago. I am not a fan of toyota's but I LOVE the supra. I used to be into the import seen in the late 90's and I knew some guys with some BADASS Supras. Them things would eat up bikes on the highway.

Stock Bugattis come with 1000hp. I don't believe there is much of an aftermarket for them. The only thing I've heard of is a full titanium exhaust system for them. I know a guy who owns a local airport, one in India, businesses in India, and owns a ton of exotics including a Bugatti.

My post wasn't meant to take away from the "glory" of the Supra, it's an awesome vehicle. It's a shame there are all barely exsistant or torn to no return.
