Help With Design Ideas For House

I need some help with a project for my home. My wife and I recently found out that were having a baby and now were trying to get everything situated. Here is my problem. The babies room is going to go where I now have my office, and I'm going to move the office in our front room that is completly empty. I want half of the room to be the office and the other half to be a play room. I originally wanted to build a wall to separate the two, but am now thinking something less permanant. Any ideas on what we can do to separate the room? Any help would be appreciated!!!

I've always wanted a house with a huge great room with the kitchen, and family rom in one area in the middle. Then have 4 bedrooms on the corners of the house. Eatch room would have its own privacy and its own bath and shower.

just frame a simple stud wall and use the vynle drywall sheets, they are already finished. It would sort of look like a trailer. The drywall sheets would be around $30 each( ? ) several year old price. fast and easy to install and easy to remove. would leave some scars where the wall was joined to the floor and ceiling.

First of all, Congratulations big daddy!!!

What's your plan for this office? If it needs to be a work area where you will not be distracted, then the only thing that works is a room with a door. If you just want to keep exploring toddlers away from your work area, then something like the portable play fences like the ones they use in day cares would work fine. If you just don't want anyone seeing your **** , then some folding oriental type room dividers will do the trick

A privacy wall will work for a while and look nice. I'm talking about the asian type ones that fold up. There about 5-6' high and vary in length. Totally temp. and can fold up easy to open up the room. Now this will only work until the little guy is big enough to push it down. You can also find gates at Baby's r us that extend. We have one. But there about $100 bucks, not cheap and you have to secure them to the wall (drilling).
