It was cold at 9:00, when Maggie and I walked this morning. 35 with 25 mph wind. I'm skinny, so it hurt a little! Wellcomparatively skinny!

The weather is crazy. Supposed to be a high today of about 53, low tonight around 28, then back to mid 80s on Wed.

Hey Paw Paw, you ever go listen to any of that LA music? I have some old Doug Kershaw albums, some Jo-el Sonnier. I like Mary GoShay's (Geautierer or something like that) music a lot, tho they say she is a little different, if you know what I mean. She writes good stuff.

Yeah Bluejay, I'm right in the middle of it. The Bayou Lafourche area I'm in has a lot of the Cajun and what we call Swamp Pop music, kind of a blend of Cajun, some Country and Pop. Our local station FM 100.3 is known as the Ragin Cajun and plays Cajun and Swamp Pop music. I'm 60 miles SW of New Orleans but seems like you're in another world! All the artist's you mentioned I've heard of except the Gauthier lady.

I really like some of her songs:

Sugar Cane
I Drink
Mercy Now
Christmas in Paradise

My son and daughter-in-law live in Beaumont. She has family in South LA. Some around Lake Charles, I know.

I'm 10 miles East of Houma off Hwy 1 that runs along Bayou Lafourche. Awalkinrain said She know's where Houma is. I'm on the other side of the State from Lake Charles.

Yep, I've been to Houma many times. I was married to a cajun and he had family all over south LA. Lake Charles is cool too - my favorite restaurant is there - Steamboat Bill's.

Nothing is as cool as Longview on a Saturday night! I've been through there a few times.
