Here's what came out of my iPod this morning on the way to work. It's on shuffle.

Sammy Hagar - Red
Kenny Chesney - Back Where I Come From
Boom Boom Out Go The Lights - Pat Travers

Oh and Good Morning!

What's this "traffic" thing you speak of?

I drove down to Dallas and then onto Waco two years ago. I had to go to the east side of Dallas first to pick up a bike and then on to Waco to pick up a motor. We hit Dallas at 4pm on a Friday. I should say we hit Denton. My God. Never again will I hit that area at rush hour. Thankfully on the way back we took the other I-35 back home and avoided it altogether.

I hate Dallas. There is NO good time to hit it. I live in the country South of Fort Worth and work in East Fort Worth. It is not nearly as bad as Dallas, but getting worse.

Ian and I both count "I Sang Dixie" as one of our all time favorite songs, so that was what spurred my post.

But sometimes, I have meetings right downtown. As you say, it's like entering Hell.

Morning!

Jim - I hope you had your ladder properly anchored and secure and that you were tied off to safety harness while working on that tree. That could be dangerous! I had a SO once who broke his hip falling out of tree while trimming limbs, and an uncle who broke his ankle doing the same thing. Neither one of them had the ladders secured or any kind of safety rope - nothing.

Nope, the ladder was propped against the tree trunk. I'm good at leaning either direction, to keep it from sliding on the trunk.

I did finally got my hard hat, as I could see one of the limbs dropping straight down instead of falling away.

This tree is a BlackJack. I have a bunch of them. They are like cutting steel! Hard on the blades.
