Got a call from dad his f150 was flashing the CEL. Thought ah no biggie just a coil pack etc.

popped the hood to take a peek and found the problem pretty quick.

mice has had a field day in the engine bay and chewed through the injector harness. Pulled lots of string, paper and leaves out along with 2 small chains. There is still one more chain there. Gonna try to fix the wiring harness and look for any other damage the next few days. Once everything is fixed I'm taking it to a detailer and having the engine steam cleaned and detailed. The smell is horrible under there. Truck has been sitting in my garage most of day and it smells rank in there!

The Cavalier just took its final drive to the scrap yard. I almost got what I paid for it a year ago so I don't feel quite so bad about it. Now it's time to search for another one.

I've got a 04 2 owner cavalier. Rust free, clear coat falls off in chunks. Brand new tires. 182k miles. 1500 bucks come get it

I'm coming up on the time when I will have to stick some money into mine in the form of preventative maintenance to keep it running well and reliable -- transmission flush, coolant flush, etc. I really wish the '05 Escape had fewer miles on it so I could go down to one "daily driver" vehicle, but it looks as if I'll probably run both of them until their wheels fall off.

About this time last year I stuck a bunch of work into the Escape (tires, brakes, full tune-up, etc.) with the idea that the wife would keep driving it for another couple of years. Then I came across the Taurus during the summer and it was such a no-brainer purchase that I closed the deal. If I hadn't done all that stuff to the Escape I would just dump it and go full time with the Cavalier, but I figure I might as well get the benefit of all the stuff I did to it instead of turning it over to someone else.

I'll give you 1500 but that includes you detailing my truck and delivering the car. Sounds like a hard deal to pass up IMO

I actually found a really clean 03 Civic with 140k miles for $300. Supposedly all it needs is ball joints and a couple of tires. I'm thinking about getting it and trying to flip it.

That seems crazy-cheap if the thing actually runs....

That's what I thought, almost too good to be true. I emailed the guy but haven't heard back from him yet.

Those were my thoughts exactly.

I have this crazy idea in my head right now. I could buy that truck and sell mine. Then I'd have the Mercury for daily driving, and the 95 truck for truck things (towing the boat, trips to the landfill, etc.). I'd have two paid off vehicles, both in excellent condition and each serving their own purpose. And I'd be able to reimburse myself with the equity from my current truck and have no more $400 a month truck payment.

Hmm...
