Dang -- Monday morning is going to be a brutal wake-up call for this family! With our time off the wife and I have quickly slipped into a pattern of going to bed late and rolling out of the rack around 9:30 in the morning! Going back to waking up at 5:30 is going to suck......

Drove close to 800 miles yesterday coming back from Lake Norman, N.C. We had a great week with family and friends and what seemed like a gazillion kids!

House on Lake Norman we stayed at and a few from downtown Charlotte.

We took my truck and it averaged close to 18 mpg including idling and getting caught in a traffic jam in Atlanta yesterday plus making a lot of short trips to the grocery. Glad I had the bed cover because it was packed to the max in the bed.

What a pretty day. 60 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. Ended up washing the Cavalier, Mowing front and back yard and cleaning up the garage

It started snowing around noon today, hopefully it's the first and last snow of the season. Suppose to go down to 10* tomorrow night and Tuesday then go back into the 40s.

Sunny and in the 50's this morning...feels pretty good. Saturday morning it got down to 28 degrees in North Carolina. Had ice on the truck which I never had before in Louisiana. Drove 800 miles to get back home and never felt tired from the comfortable seats in the Platinum. Nice to have the 36 gallon fuel tank so I only had to fill up once each way. The bed cover did a great job with all the luggage and a 150 qt max cold Igloo ice chest that was as big as a coffin!!

You have a nice set up. And people ask why we drive trucks. They are good for every occasion.

My oldest daughter and her 7 yr old rode with the wife and I. She wanted to take her Infiniti Q56 SUV but I told her since I'm driving I'd rather take the truck with all wheel drive in case of heavy rain or snow. Glad we did because the luggage and ice chest probably wouldn't have fit. The truck rode excellent on the smooth interstates and with the Bilstein shocks at all 4 corners it handled great loaded down. I set the cruise at the posted limits and it got decent fuel mileage so I'm happy.
