Yesterday was a big day for the boy -- earned his 1st Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do! I was a little worried about him breaking his boards since he seemed so nonchalant about it all week long -- thought he was taking it a little too lightly and might be setting himself up for a surprise. Boy was I wrong -- went up both times, gave it a whack and a kick and that was it!

Best part about it is that now the wife and I get to take a break from Tae Kwon Do -- we told him we were going to stop going for a few months after three straight years of being there at least 3-nights a week! The boy would go back tomorrow without blinking an eye, but mom and dad are completely burned out from being there.

We'll finally get to do some of the things we've skipped because we were always so busy with Tae Kwon Do.......
