Jim or Patrick are your 14's using oil? Good friend has a 14 and changed the oil at 1600 miles and it was a quart low.. He just got it changed again at 6000 miles and the dealership had on the reciept pre oil check 2 quarts low.. Doesn't 2 quarts seem a little much for only 4400 miles?
Mine uses about 6oz every 5,000-6,000 miles, but that's also the total that ends up being caught in my oil separator.

Yes, I would not be happy at all with that usage. I have 2600 on mine and it is about 1/4 down on the dip stick. I will change at 5000 and expect to use less than a quart.

How are you putting the miles on it -- one big chunk or lots of little trips?
