Something else you'll figure out when you get down here, our Mexican food is actually good and won't kill you like the "Mexican food" up there will

All my northern relatives look at us sideways when they're down here and we say we're all getting Mexican for dinner haha.

Did some thinking. I think I'm going to hold off on the car right now. My decision but here's why. With my loans and what I'll be making, I can hammer them off by late 2015. I'll have to buy a new driveshaft this summer (staked u joints) and fix my front end clunk but it's still cheaper. I can literally demoish that loan and still save a good chunk of money each month and then I'll be free of that garbage. Once I'm free I think it's fair to buy a new car and finally buy a brand new 5.0.

I kept thinking about having to store my truck and that's such a waste then add increased insurance and a car payment and it's too much. Then add school loans and crap and it's not even worth it. Doable but it's silly. No school debt = comfortable money saved and the ease of owning 2 vehicles and still be able to move out shortly after.
good plan john....

debt free is best....

I agree thanks guys. I love driving my truck, I just hate winter. It sucks... but the good side is the snow isn't as crazy, it's more of the cold here. Yeah, we get some snow, but it is usually a few big storms. So it's not like there's always crap on the roads.

Ordered new VCT solenoids... I saw the part was updated and it's cake to change. Ordered the seals as well. After that I'm going to tackle plugs again in a few months.

Pat,

I have a video of my clunk I'll upload in a few days. I keep forgetting. I really am thinking it's the lower control arm bushings. When I installed my camber kit, I torqued the bolts with the truck in the air. It started a few months after that. I read that is a huge no-no. The truck needs to have the weight on the front end before you torque them. When I hit bumps I can feel the steering system rattle and it feedbacks into the steering wheel. It's horrid over bumps esp on the highway. Shakes the whole truck.

Well I went and paid off the new truck yesterday and then celebrated by ordering a new set of tires...bought another set of Toyo 275x60x20 AT2's...same as the last tires I had on my '11. Keep this up and I may have to go and find myself a job!!
