Let's start over......
Ok... here's what I'd do. If you can, get a few sand bags or redi mix... dirt cheap. Also, your truck should have the manual shift. I'd try shifting up to 2nd or 3rd and let the torque get you out. I do that in the snow. I can only lock into 1 and 2. But in ice, I walk it out in 2nd then shift into D after I feel I'm solidly into 2nd gear rpms.
There have been several times where people were stuck in their parking spots up here and even with people pushing they still had a hard time getting out. Told them to turn traction control off if they had it and they almost always get out after they turned it off. It limits the wheel spin too much so the tire doesn't have a chance to really grab at something.
Check out pages 286-291. Specifically the first paragraph on page 290.

But you may want to get some weight regardless like John said.

I was spinning very well! I'm almost certain the salesman turned it off when I bought the truck. haven't thought about it since.

It comes back on each time you restart the truck. The only way to really disable it is with a programmer or pulling the fuse. Pulling the fuse disables ABS though.

Try some asphalt roofing shingles laid down to try and get some traction on...gives the tires something to grip. I've seen them work in the mud and sand down here. Sometimes it's easier to get out the same way you got in...back out! Let some air out of the tires if you have a compressor available.

Yep, thought of that one, but it is an incline of 30 yards or so. Sandy clay, slick as owl stuff. haven't dug a hole, just no traction. Will either drive out or will have to be pulled.
Yes they do, but their regular fries are so good, I can't get past them.
The Monterey Melt at Whataburger was pretty good, though it did not look like the one in their ads. They never do.

You sure? I thought I could remember when I looked at my setting on the screen, it said "off". I'll check it.
You might be thinking of Trailer Sway Control, and even that turns back on each time you restart the truck I think.
