You should also consider going to the beefier L brakes. I think we've talked before about that.

Late model resotration has pretty good prices on brakes. Not necessarily the whole big brake swap, just in general

I loved the 6.2 I drove for a while. F350 dually with 10' stake body. That think was a beast... typically averaged 6 mpg though because it was at school. Sounded great too like you said.
