Fun stuff....... Not!! Good luck getting the hump flattened out I don't envy you at all.

only if I dry cut/grind it.....if I get a wet cutter/grinder less dust but then I'll have to deal with sludge....

At first I thought that too, but I want near stock ride and I want 5" without a bone jarring ride. All the different searches I've found (Ford, Chevy Dodge,) point to a flip kit by Belltech being a very quality piece and rides the best.

Na, def going drop Spindles, I want everything left alone geometry-wise. I'm only running 20's once I get my DD anyways. Strictly nice weather driving.
It rides good until you nail the bump stops with the axle. Get used to it with the stock springs.

Mine is slotted. No issues at all. All that does is give you more room for alignment.

Shocks will make or break the ride quality no matter which drop you do.

Before you buy a flip, think of it this way. Factory leafs are very soft and have "long" travel on bumps. Then you move the axle above the leafs on the same soft soupy leafs, and you have 2" or less of travel before bottoming out, and you think its gonna ride good?

There's a reason the aftermarket drop leaf springs are usually 10-20% stiffer (depending on brand)

There's also a reason why flip kits are so cheap, remember you get what you pay for

I'd go grinder with ceramic bit route. You can control the depth of grinding and avoid having to repour...

with a little research I found a 4" double row diamond cup grinder wheel plus a grinder dust capturing cup for a vacuum on amazon for around $75

heck I already have a 4.5" angle grinder might as well save some money...imo

Had a little thunderstorm last night. Even the small amount of rain is very welcom. So are the cooler temps.

Same here.... The truck grumbled for the first time when I started it this morning. It was in the mid 30's at Heather's this morning.
