Let's start over......
Still dewatering, day 3. I got ahead of it once yesterday. Man I tell yuh, those Ridgid vacuums are life savers. I'm using just the one now, an 8 year old 16 gallon, sucking the perimeter water down to a workable level. I can't fix anything until I get that water down. Feels as though I'm lowing the entire damn water table here.
What a pain. Alarms went off at 4 this morning. Had to go turn the pump on lol. Water came up 2' over night.
I purchased a Flow tech manual shallow pump (to -1/8 from surface). Looking to see if I can get a float switch for that one vs buying another pump all together, once I dig in a sump crock. Why in the hell didn't this basement have a sump/sump area ? You always have a sump in the basement, -just in case right ? House was built in late 50's, - perhaps it wasn't code then. (?). What a job.
I could let it go and have home owners insurance deal with it. 500 deductible tho and nothing was ruined yet, - just the figgen work! As soon as I get the water down, I have to bust up the floor, excavate, import some pea-stone, t- into clay tile, place perforated pipe (socked), backfill w/peastone, adjust grade to 4" below ff, mix some concrete, cap it off. Can do, - just sucks.

Right, I already have a spot all picked out. The only thing that sucks about that is having to Y into old 4" cast sewer pipe for the discharge. I guess that won't be TO bad. Be a lot better if I didn't have to do it lol.
Mann, I wonder if that hydrant is leaking out front? Seems odd this is happening now after being here 4 years without a leak. I guess I better call the city tomorrow.

I think he's talking about connecting the sump crock into the existing drain tile around the foundation.
Wish we could help out...lot's of excess rain down here yesterday!
