The high today is supposed to be 62, it's a chilly 65 right now. Weird weather.

It's 10* here and feels downright balmy.

I'm really beginning to not like these long, dark, cold, winters anymore I just got my electric bill and it's almost $200 for January.

I think it's bills like this that make people depressed and not the weather.....

Ours was $220... Gotta love having to plug in the tractors, water heaters, and whatnot...

I even run my block heater on a timer but I think it's the halogen security lights on the garage because every time I look out they are on. I may need to replace them with an LED version or play with the on time and sensitivity.

Ours was like $90....that's with running a 2000watt 8ft electric base board heater only at night too....

But most of our heating bill is natural gas.....a furnace, 2 fire places, and a water heater....that was around $130

The thermostat is kept at 68*

Don't know what the Burleson bill was, but the little house in the woods was $75. All electric with thermostat at 68 when we are there, 60 when we are in Burleson.

I don't know what caused the jump the temp is set at 65* when I'm not there and set up to go up to 68* at 4 until 10 then go back down to 65* until 5:30. I run very few lights at night and all of them are CFL except the can lights in the living room and I rarely ever use those now that I'm the only one in the house.

Maybe my cat is having parties when I'm gone.
