I got the John Deere running last night then the plug fouled out because I got it to rich so I pulled and cleaned the plug then as I was putting it back in the aluminum head stripped when I tried to re-torque the plug. Oh well it's only $160 for a new head on a 34 year old motor..........

Yeah but I'm happy with the fact it fired up and ran first try until I tried to tune the high idle mixture. That thought crossed my mind for all of about five seconds, then I remembered all the money and time I have in it and I also hate doing things more than once when I could have fixed it right the first time.

I bet it was, that's ok, we went from A/C, T-Shirts and shorts weather to possible chance of snow, heat, and jacket weather in less than 12 hours.

Man, I haven't changed my oil in two years. Maybe I'll give that a shot today. I do want to make it to at least 1/2 a million miles.
