Nope, and she considered not taking my out of town check. But, she looked at my honest face, and since it was my business CPA check, she decided to accept it. I had the cash, but didn't want to use it.

I would be walking in with an empty box. Doubt that would help!

Probably thought most old guy's your age can't find their way home and you're doing 69 in a 55. At least he still can drive, I'll give him a break!

That is why I was going so fast, I was trying to find my turn off.

What is weird, I was just thinking that I had never seen a cop on that little country road and that some day, there would be one. I seldom go over 60 on that road, but the grandkids were waiting, so I was going a little faster. There are two back woods lanes that take me to the house. I passed up the first one, it winds around a lot more, and was going to the second one. Had I turned at the first one, never would have seen me. As it was, I topped a hill and he topped the next hill at the same time. I knew I was dead. There is no mistaking those low slung Dodges.

Good grief! I just remembered, I have a pic of right where the buzzard got me. Maybe it was predestined?
