Ive been thinking about more lift. I was either thinking going cheap and adding a body lift, or going all out with a 4 or 6 inch system. Ive been kinda leaning towards either the body lift or the rancho 4 inch so I can still use my stock rims in the winter
What do you guys think?

Body lifts are cheap, but they suck, totally. I mean really suck, -everything about them. Sucks to work on a vehicle with a body lift. Since it puts your engine in a hole, plus your mpgs will drop. They're not designed to run 3" off the frame. Shows the undercarriage, - who wants to see the under carriage. Looks like crap IMO.

The suspension lifts are another story and worth the extra doe using them instead. Mpgs may still decrease a little, but not as noticeable. A suspension lift is a good solid lift. Body lifts will eventually turn the truck into a rattle can.

I didnt find them bad at all (body lifts) My 03 Ranger was body lifted and I put that truck through hell and back, no joke! I tore the steering rack out 3 times in one year offroading in it. Everything stayed tight on it.
I think Im really leaning towards the Rancho because of the use of stock wheels but Im afraid of wanting more lift afterwards
I dunno...

Yah i know, and we typically use a sand/salt mixture, not nearly as corrosive as all salt.

but my point about them being low, is they are exposed to more moisture while driving in the rain and all that

My dealership called said that the mechanic noticed my transmission slip so its back on the hoist for the tranny and transfer case. Plus he said they are doing all the recalls on the truck while its there. The airbag one and gauge cluster?
