Oh yeah my neighbor a few houses down "walked away" from his house this weekend. So that makes the 7th house on my street that will be vacant. So I will be mowing that yard every couple weeks. I can't stand my neighborhood getting run down due to all these empty homes going to crap. The other 6 houses I hardly ever drive by due to which end of the street I come in, but I can see this house out of my living room window and drive by it everyday so I think me and my other neighbor might alternate who does it.

I didn't really talk to them that much. They guy worked for Coca Cola and had a nice 1974 Corvette in his garage that never moved the whole time I have lived here (5 years). He had 3 kids too. I guess from what my other neighbor said they hadn't payed their mortgage in a while, like maybe a year.
Lots of people in my area are underwater as far as mortgages go, including myself. If the Air Force ever suprises me with orders, I don't really know what I would do.

Short sale or walk away.....maybe these banks will start to be a bit more compassionate and give the homeowner a chance to reneggociate their properties.......
