Yeah, well you should have seen the barracks at ACU when ,y wife and I moved to Abilene. The Army said they were temperary in 1943. ACU got them after the war and they were still there in 1963.

The dorm at TCU was a big rectangle with 2 beds, a sink, and 2 closets. Seemed more like jail.

At the barracks, you could see the sunlight thru the cracks in the wooden walls. We took one look and gave up our reservation. Got an apt off campus that was only slightly better. We were poor and on our own. It was fun times though. Kids today, have no idea how nice they have it.

its dead up here at work, they layed off about 1/2 of the wash bay guys yesterday afternoon. Some needed to go, but they let a few go that worked hard, and kept some that dont work as much.

Sometimes, management just has no way of knowing which ones need to go.

it was wierd tho clocking in this morning (old school punch cards) and like 4 or 5 slots are open where there used to only be one extra slot
