Ian, I have these on our house and they are well worth the money, no keys to worry about unless the battery dies and they have been on our house for four years and not once have we been left standing outside for a dead battery. I have them on the same schedule as the smoke alarms in the house whether they need to be changed or not.

I have seen those before and I believe that one's a 10" or 12" and they are about equal to truck nutz to the diesel performance community.

I have one of those on the shop and my gun closet and I have been very happy with them. I have also thought about switching the house locks to the Schlage I lock that you can monitor over the internet.

I got them because when we first moved in the boy and wife would periodically lock themselves out of the house.....

That was also my logic as well when I ordered them and it's nice not having to fish the key out of your pocket with an arm full of groceries.
