On the bright side, he won't be late for work this morning.

Is there anyway to tell your boss to shove it without getting fired?

I was telling the boss today I was planning on using the money I got from the tractor to get my spark plugs changed. He tells me there's no need to change them until they go bad and I'd just be wasting my money. I told him Ford says to change them at 100,000 miles and I'm at about 117,000 so it's over due.

That's when the pissin match began

He brought up when I got my ball joints done I had the upper and lower replaced instead of just the lower one (the one that was bad) and how that wasn't very "logical" since the upper was ok. I told him if the lower one was shot more than likely the upper one wasn't too far behind. Plus while it's apart may as well. He then proceeds to tell me that he ONLY changes the spark plugs that are bad in his truck. If 1 is bad he only changes 1.

Said he doesn't consider spark plugs preventive maintenance. What he considers "preventive maintenance" is squirting oil on the door/hood latches once every few years and replacing what ALREADY went bad/broke

I know I can be kind of **** about my truck but it's my money and my truck so what's it matter to him? Don't call me an idiot for trying to make my truck run/last longer than that rusted, squealin, noise makin Chevy you have
