What would cause a car's heater to not work in the afternoon after it worked fine in the morning. No warning, no other problems with the car's climate control. It's not electronic, just like my XLT truck. Engine warms up fine. 2008 Taurus X. May be trading this one in anyway, I'd like a new vehicle for my wife anyway. Ford of course.

blend door cable, something mechanical.

I doubt the heater core trapped air bubble enough to completely shut the flow off to the core

it was 70s today he shouldnt have needed the heater anyways.

I know my truck the mode doors are vacuum, but the blend door is cable operated.

modes are your directions (floor defrost vent), blend is temperature (hot to cold)
