I am leaving work about 3:00 so we can get on the road about 5:00 and head for Damon, TX to my daughter's home. Will be good to see the grandkids, it's been too long this time.

Will get to drive some new highways as will be starting from East Texas rather than the usual Fort Worth area. The trip will be about 5 hours, but I enjoy the drive.

Road my old sled today for fun, cause it hasn't been riddin much and have family coming so wanted to make sure it ran ok and blow the chain case out of it, looks like a bomb went off, broke the dropcase and cover, so now I need to find parts for the thing, nothing $300 bucks can't fix I guess, but with Christmas coming up, be lucky to get the by the first of the year now. Its the way things go I guess.

Went out and checked my oil before taking out tonight. I have 3900 since the last change and it has moved maybe 1/16 of an inch on the stick. I'm very pleased with the 113,500 miles and a lot of the 3900 miles are at highway speeds of 75 mph.

Had a freakin blast at the Garth concert last night. Toured the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum today.

I had to pay to park at the hotel in Nashville. Dang spots were about 3' to short for my truck.

Changed the rear brakes on my wife's 08 Taurus X. She tells me 'My car is making a noise in the back, but it only happens sometimes'.

Well that sometimes was when she's braking, so to me it happened every time. The darn pad wore down to the rivet and made a fairly noticeable groove in the rotor, but not bad enough to necessitate a new rotor. It made a godawful noise too, so bad that during our early morning shopping, I needed shoes and jeans, I turned around and got the truck.

I got to the fronts and they are three times the surface area as the rears. Didn't need replacing.

Fun day.

Could've been a crappy pad or the caliper slider is hanging up....
