Decided towatch one of my classics. I chose Bullitt. I had forgotten how good it is and I'm not even to the chase scene yet!

I don't think I've ever seen that one. My hubby loves those old Steve McQueen movies!

It is one of his best, plus it has what is known as possibly the best car chase ever filmed. McQuee had the 67 Hipo Mustang specially prepared and did his own driving. Has some famous actors in it. Robert Duval is a cab driver.

OK, now that you mention the Mustang I recall having seen parts of it. The chase scene may be famous but if I saw it I don't remember it...shame on me...I know :o

Yep, shame on you! It all takes place in San Francisco. Ford makes a commemorative Mustang that is the same color and has Bullitt badges.

yes, he spun out in it and used it to force a Dodge Charger off the road. Supposedly, a guy rebuilt it years ago.

Yep, but it survived. The Charger didn't. YOu would not believe how many Mustangs were sold because of that chase. It had American Racing wheels on it and they sold a ton of those wheels, too.

I might watch Thunder Road next.

You should watch Outlaw Josey Wales. That's an excellent movie!
