Yeah they are a light black now. I really want to PTM them. How much would those go at a junkyard?

I saw a set in Arizona beige drivers side and passengers (LT Handles new from ford on ebay) for $59 drivers side and $49 passengers... does that sound like a good deal? I might have a detail next week so maybe I could convince my parents to order them and I could pay them right back?

That's not a bad price considering its going to save you a lot of time and money for the paint and supplies to do it. I say go for it.

John, Pam will tell you it is only money. If you want it, buy it, if it feels good do it. So, go for it!

It must looked weird in the library when I saw that and started grinning. They prolly thought I was one a **** site or something

Now say I can get them... I don't have the keypad now... how would that work? It has the keyhole which should be ok, but does that have to be wired up and programmed if I have the hook-ups?

Is yours a Lariat or XLT? If a Lariat, I'm pretty sure you are set. There is some question about 2004 XLTs, but 2005 worked. You have to get the 5 digit code off the Body Control Module or get it scanned by the dealer. Your plug in should already be in place inside the door. You just hook it up when you change the handle.

Yes, it is very easy to take off the door panel. The hardest part of getting to where you need to be will be removing the clear plastic film that is used to waterproof the interior. They use a black sealer/glue and you pull and cut it away from the inner door. You won't have to take it completly off like you do when doing a window regulator, just peel down the upper left corner.
