Let's start over......
There is a indoor gun range in Tyler that also sells guns. They let you test fire guns that you are interested in. It's really helpful if you can find a place that will let you do that.
You might also check the Smith & Wesson MP models. Some of them have interchangable grips in different sizes. I had the MP 40 for a while, but ended up selling it. I just never could get comfortable with it. Some people I know really like them.

I really wish my wife and I could relocate to Texas because life would be so much easier. Living at the end of the Earth really sucks at times because there is no such place like that around here but I have fired enough guns that I know pretty much by feel which one is going to work for me. So I just need to go shopping but I am going to have to wait a while since I just spent a couple grand on stuff for the truck.

Just FYI - most Glocks are double stacks (except for the subcompacts). I think you'd find them comfortable.
Then - you have to find the holster that works best for you. I like Comp-Tac.
Yep - you gotta love Texas! You need to open a second business down here so you can move down here to run it.

I know I am not sure if I want inside or outside of the waitband yet so I may just try and carry the gun I have now and just try some different holsters until I find something that I like. I also need to spend about 300 on a console safe for my truck so I can lock the gun up when I cant carry it when I am at work or I have to run in somewhere I cant carry.
