Exclamation Did you all hear about Toyota Tacomas???

Well the neighbor across the street from my mom, has a 99 Taco. And I was talking to him and he said toyota was buying his truck back from him so they dont have to do a recall on all the 95 to 2000s!!! I asked why, and he said the frames are JUNK!! Imagine that..lol. But he said they were checking it out and they put a 1lb ball peen hammer through the frame! But the good part is toyota is giving 150% on the high blue book on his truck. Which means hes getting 12,000 for a truck he only paid 8 for, and if he buys another Toyota, they will give him another 2 grand for some sort of loyalty discount or something or other. I told him to watch out for the tailgates. Or just take the money and walk over to the ford dealership and get a 150.

Wow. 150%???? Recommend him a nice FX4 or something Show him your truck and get his mouth watering.

I also heard the tacos had some throttle positioning sensor that floored it unexpectedly when some people were driving and caused them to rear-end people. Was all over yahoo like 2-3 months ago.

I know most of you are anti Toyota, but I always thought the Tacoma was a sharp looking mid-sized truck.

There is a Vacant lot nearby where I reside........it is approx. 6 acres & Toyota is using it as a storage Depot for all of their crap trucks that they had to buy back! Nothing but dozens & dozens of Crap Tacomas! A friend of mine thinks that Toyota will probably donate these Crappy Tacos out to Afganistan & Iraq & give them to Osama Bin Laden, & Cleric Sadir............

Yup, they just gave my neighbor $10k for his 95 Taco 4x4 plus $2k for the loyalty bonus. He ended up getting an 02 Tundra 4x4 ext. cab. That's a pretty good upgrade for a highschool kid.

I thaught the problem was the engine, something where they would just wildly accelerate causing people to lose control. Buying back the truck at 150% and yet they moan and groan about the newer tailgates. Oh well, the less of them out there the better in my opinion. Too bad it had to be these with mounting problems, they look way better than the new Tundra.
