crazy man hes got a lot of $$ to spend. Thats only part of his entire nascar diecast collection though. He has over 300 total, and a lot of platinums, white golds, all the real limited ones.
Wow, thats an impressive collection.

I'm just razzing you about Clint. I just might be the king of collecting NASCAR diecast that there is no demand for.I probably have one of the worlds largest Ernie Irvan collections. There isn't much competition.lol The pic below shows a few things I still have hanging in my computer room. Most of my diecast got boxed up and put it away several years ago.I have at least 12 boxes of Texaco and other high end pieces packed away.I have 3 life sized Ernie cardboard standups and a few other big cardboard displays.
I also have a few boxes of Davey Allison stuff packed away too.

Between me and my dad we both have a ton of Bill Elliott Die-casts. I think he has every die-cast made of Bill Elliott except like 2-3. I have a bunch of the smaller cars and I have the big version of his McNight car which is a limited edition very few were ever made. I use to be real big into collecting these things but the last car I bought was an Elliott Sadler #38 M&Ms car ha

i have got about 55-60 cars. about 25 big E cars, about 20 jr cars and the rest are harvicks rookie season cars.

my pride and joy is an autographed dale jr daytona 500 winnner and a close second is a platinum dale sr last win (talladega)

i got out of it for a while though. it is an expensive, if not impossible, hobby to keep up with. especially if you dont have disposable income for that kinda thing. so i really pick and choose the cars i buy now.

on a side note. i cant find a nice display case anywhere. i am looking for a 5 shelf bookshelf style but with a glass front/shelves or even all glass. impossible.....

nice find! yeah i cant afford any nice cases, so i bought a cheap bookshelf, and turning it into the nicest display case i can make . I think mirrored backs are great, and once i get the lights in, it will look so nice.

Mine are all 1/24.

Ive always had an interest in diecasts since i started watching in 1997-1998, but never had the actual idea of buying them, or the money. Just about 3-4 weeks ago i discovered a site you can get diecasts at for dirt cheap, so i said hey what the hell, i want to expand my nascar fan memorabilia, so i started buying bowyer and harvick diecasts. I had a couple gordon and johnson diecasts as you could see in the firstp ic, but they aint real diecasts, theyre the fake Target shelf diecasts. I got some bowyer autographed material coming, hoping to buy a race used tire+wheel soon.

Well first of all, Jr merchandise is insane. I dont get it, i know hes the most popular, but the prices are outrageous, and the production #s are ridiculous. You know that with his amp and national guard 2008 COTs combined, there is a total of 272,000 of his 2008 regular action diecasts? not counting elites, special promotion, or other kinds.

Anyways...

the site ive been scoring the jackpot on as far as diecasts is www.gomotorbids.com . Its an ebay for diecasts of all kind, and other motorsport memorabilia. Ive gotten 2 elites so far. My latest is bowyers 2006 country ****tails elite. They go for $100 list price, $75 on ebay, and i got it for $37 on that site. All items are new, unless otherwise noticed. They buy high end collections too. Official items from racers foundations can be found on there too. VERY good deals on whatever you can find. The Jr stuff goes for a lot still, but everyone else youll find great deals.

www.racingmetal.com is a great site for race-used tires, wheels, and sheet metal. Its a great home-based company. Ive talked to the guy through emails and he seems like a great company. I havent purchased anything from him yet, but all you need to do is email him, tell him what you want, and he will figure out a price, and shipping if you ask. He was going to get me a jimmie johnson tire+wheel mounted from a race he won for only around $50 from 2006.

I got a good collection, mostly John Force 1/24th scale, many signed. I want to start NASCAR but no more room right now, you can scoop NASCAR diecast on ebay for nothing sometimes. I got a Ricky Rudd for $4.99, I was the only bidder.
