I read an article in this month's People Magazine about Steve McGarva. He went to Puerto Rico because his wife had a job transfer. His plan was to do alot of kite surfing while there but when he got to the beach, called Dead Dog Beach, what he found instead were hundreds of abandoned and mistreated dogs. His compassion for animals moved me. I couldn't find the People article online, but here is a similar article.

I agree. It sickens me how those animals were treated. But thankfully, this guy managed to save many of them.
