Personally, I hate to say this... but I found myself looking through ebay this past week for OBS F150s... but rather super cabs v8s with 5 speeds...

I saw this one, for 10k... 4x4, 5 speed, v8, supercab... wow... everything I dream of...

Why oh why Ford did you not have that setup in the NBS?!

There is only 3-4 threads that hold the plugs in an aluminum cylinder head on the 97-03 trucks. If you don't torque them correctly they come out and can strip the threads out too. Easily fixed by an metal threaded insert if it is on a easily accessable cylinder.

Not all that common but it happens, like the plugs breaking off in the 04+ trucks.

Manual, with what you try to do with your truck, you should be looking at used Super Dutys, not 150's. A ZF makes a M5OD look like a toy tranny.

No, that's a short bed. Looks like a nice one too. My favorite OBS trucks are the short beds with the flare sides, like my old '98.

No, the longbed doesn't have the wheels centered in the bed, they use the same length of frame as a supercab.

Same here, I love them with the flareside. Found one, but it had like 30k more miles, and this one was $500 more, and sounds like po took good care of it.

I think the best looking 150's are the 97-03 (OBS) short cab short bed stylesides, just like that one. I'm not saying this because that's what I have too, I do think they look better than the others. I don't like Flaresides period, I don't like the OBS Screws. My second choice would be a NBS Screw, those look right. Long beds on standard cabs look wrong. Scabs are okay.

Thats a sweet looking truck. Looks like he has cranked the Tbars up a bit to clear the 285/75s...

Reg. cab short box is def. a sweet looking truck, I do like the OBS looks better too. All around they are just more of a 'truck' to me than the NBS.

To me, the NBS just looks too much like a box, but the NBS Screw keeps growing on me. It's beginning to look as much "right" as the OBS Screw looks "wrong" for some reason. I dunno what turns me off so much on the OBS Screw - I think it's the taillights and the strange shaped bed.
