Personally I like the fact that can I crank the truck, open my sliding rear window and get either A/C or heat to blow in the tent. Or I can run power cords through there and charge my cell phone/laptop/etc. In reality it's just a regular tent, you can pop it off the truck and put it on the ground in about 30 seconds. The difference is you can't take a regular tent and toss it in your bed like this one.

I did have one and it was great! We used it at the beach all the time. It was wayyyyyyyyyyy better than being on the ground. But our family has grown and inevitably we have more ***** in the truck than is necessary and now the bed is filled with a few totes, chairs and plenty o beer. I dont have the sliding rear window, but I bet that is way cool for the AC! I am a hot natured s.o.b. and we always have a long extension cord and box fan for the tent when we hit the river. I think we are getting a pop up this summer.

But sex in the ground tent was still better.
Much more room to get it on.

only if you don't know how to camp out in a tent.

A ground sheet does wonders. MAking sure you don't camp at the bottom of a hill does wonders too.

Besides, a metal pickup bed absorbs no moisture. Anything that gets under the tent in the rain will stay there.

I am pretty sure the tent sides go over the side of the bed walls so nothing can even get under the tent.

You are correct Sir! Plus the tent comes with a rain fly, I just didn't bother putting it up as the forcast didn't call for any rain the day I took that picture.
