I love test driving new vehicles! I have been by the Nissan dealer three times already though and can't seem to get someone to talk to me though! I'm only 22 so that doesn't help much but my truck is all in my name though my parents don't help me pay for anything!

Wow, are you me?
23, can't get anyone at Nissan to even come out of their office and bought a 2005 with all my own money.

Back to the OP...
I've test drove several vehicles with no intention of buying, just make sure you at least look like you have the means.
I know several people that are worth several million dollars, that if you looked at them you would think that they didn't have a pot to **** in. Some people just like wearing worn out wranglers broken down boots and a old cowboy hat, that doesn't mean they don't go pay cash for whatever car they want.

I have gone and test drove cars at the local Ford dealer with no intention of buying them, but I am good friends with the people that work at the dealership. I went in when I turned 16 and with 2 of my buddies and said I want to test drive that mustang gt setting over their, they threw me the keys and said don't use all the gas. They won't do it for anyone else, they knew that I was going to have fun with it, but they also knew that I am very responsible and wouldn't break anything.

I've test driven many, many trucks. I'm not even allowed at the Dodge dealer anymore. I would blatantly ignore his phone calls thinking I'd never go back, and after 3 test drives in less than a year they won't even talk to me anymore. I would pull up to most dealerships and there would always be one salesmen who wanted to check out my truck as much as I wanted to get out of it Just borrow a newish vehicle before test driving and they will kiss your feet.

They were all regular cab hemi's, except for one lifted red Hemi Dodge on 35" Mud Grapps. That truck was INCREDIBLY doggish, I think it had 3.92's too. It was so bad I almost didn't want to lift my truck anymore (it was post lift).

I've driven many diesels and about 4 titans. I used to detail for the local Ford dealership but had license's to sell Bentley/high end Mercedes & BMWs only/Ferrari/and a few others). So I've driven some exotics (had to fill them up often) and I stopped test driving after that job, since I drove something new all the time. I still cannot get over the luxurious interior of the 645i at night time, red leather and hollywood red carpet, the way the dash lights up. It's my favorite car I've touched working there.

That guy in the video is a complete douchebag. What a complete lack of respect for the salesman and the dealer.

I don't quite get the same rush from test drives as I used to. Maybe because now it means that I am buying a new car and am about to have to throw down quite a bit of cash for down payment, sales tax, etc.

My dad wanted the solara and no offense but I talked him right out of it and right into an Acura TL.(yes I tried to get him into a Z06 or Mustang but he says he wants luxury and power in a front wheel drive car. Also says he is over his muscle car stage) Anyways the TL has been amazing compared to that POS 2005 camry we had

I liked the wrx sti when I tried it out... The dealership wouldnt let me drive, though. But it was PERFECTLY fine with me-- the guy who drove was young. This is what he told us a mile down the road:

"I remember doing what you are doing. And since I used to race, I am gonna give you guys (I was with my friend) the ride of your life" And he did. He freaking drove faster than I thought was possible in the city. redline at every shift, burning all 4 tires occasioally, driving 90+ down residential streets, etc. He absolutely HAULED ***.

I don't test drive unless I am seriously considering making a purchase. Otherwise I would just get the itch for something new and it's hard to shake.
Maybe one day I will actually pay off a vehicle before getting a new one.

I agree but the salesman was a idiot and deserved it. Why in the world would you let someone drive a car without a license? That's crazy. Why would you let that go on? The salesman should of taken control of the situation.
