http://www.svtperformance.com/forums...d.php?t=477049

I didn't read all that, but people have been putting stroked cranks in their 4.6 mod motors for a while... getting 302ish cubic inches out of them.

Saleen is selling a stroked 4.6 car now with a supercharger on it.

It might be a 5.0, but it isn't the good old pushrod 5.0 that was born in the 1960's. It is just a stroked 4.6, I think they have been for sale from Ford Racing for awhile now.

Saying the 5.0 is returning the Mustang is really kind of misleading, sure it is a 5.0 but it isn't THE 5.0.

EDIT: I really hope the price on Ford Racing is a typo, $30k is quite abit for an engine alone.

lol no thats the price but it is a damn nice engine

but your right it is kind of misleading since the most recent 5.0L Mustang wasn't really 5.0L

i also know that people have been putting stroker kits on 4.6Ls but this is from the factory on the base V8

but i still think its great that the mustang is getting great power in the base V8 form, regardless if it is pushrod or not

They had an article in the latest addition of MMFF on this car. Supercharged 5.0L putting out over 620 hp and built to compete with the ZR-1. All this for roughly 75K.
