Nice car, there isn't a car made today that can compete looks-wise with one of those.
I would put dual exhaust on it, and maybe change the seats (Kiwi??) and call it good. I would rather have something to cruise around in and have a good time, rather than rather than have somethign I have to nurse up the trailer to go drag racing because it is too much for the street.
At least for me big rims and fuel injection don't belong on muscle cars. But if you are going to fuel inject, TB is the way to go. Eventually after I get my 289 in and running with a carburator, I would like to change it to use a GM throttle body setup. A couple hours in a junkyard, hook up 3-4 sensers and you are done. Plus it still has the clean looks of being carburated.
