Sunroof Left Open! HELP!

My mom left her sunroof open on the Compass and of course it rained like 2 inches. The interior is soaked (except for the leather seats and plastic dash). But the stereo has water in the buttons, the head liner is soaked and dripping of water. The buttons for the HomeLink, the map lights and the sun roof control are all soaken wet.

I took the homelink out and the maplights/sunroof control all apart and I've got it drying inside.

Should I remove the stereo deck as well? I tried wiping it down with some towels, but I can still see water in it.

I just don't want something to short out and set my garage on fire or something to break. Should I disconnect the battery?

Is there any other helpful advice?

pull as much of the interior out as you can. to dry out. Pull the deck and try to put it under a hot lamp or use a blow dryer carefully

I found water under my carpet two weeks ago, and pulled my interior to trace down the leak, still havent found the leak, and i have no carpet and only my front seats in right now.....

I completely disconnected the battery.

I pulled the stereo... there was a lot of water in there... I was surprised it didn't blow any fuses. I got it sitting in a room with a fan blowing on it, along with the sunroof, homelink, and map lights.

I also got a fan in the car with all the doors open. It's looking good so far. The head liner is still wet, but not soaking wet.

*Sigh* It's always something.

After everything gets dried out, smack her and tell her to close the sunroof.
