All I am doing is passing along interesting information that I come accross that is broadcasted on a well known national news network, or in this case
the BTLS show on Sirius channel 101! It is not intended to be Gospel! Take it for what it is! This is America & I do believe that this is the Discusion Forum!.......Form you own deductions & conclusions! That is what discussion is all about!.................

The airlines must be hurting with the increased security cost brought about by 9/11 and now insane fuel pricing. They cant seem to really catch a break. I do believe by 2010 we will only have a couple airlines left, I fail to see how the current ones will stand the test of time and remain profitable if things remain the same or get worse with the economy

Speeking as a military aircraft maintainer for what it's worth...

I know even if pressure was being applied from upper management, no plane would get signed off to flight if anything was known to be unsafe. Not worth the lives, or jobs.

I'm glad I always fly South west too! The safest airline.

You pretend to hijack that plane and you WILL die!

Not exactly, no one is perfect. Southwest had up to 117 that were not safe. But they got in all under controll fairly quickly.
