It would be one of those things that if you did it you would never tell anyone.

I got my house done by the same guy who did my mother's house and my grandmother's house. He cut me a deal for about $5 a foot. That's dyed and stamped. I think it ran me about $250 total for the whole front of the house. I'm looking at putting in the back yard too.

Yeah, I wish I could afford to have the whole yard re-sodded. But that's like $3K, and then while it's all torn up I'd have to have the sprinkler system all redone, and I just can't afford it right now.
My method of fertilizer, top soil, water, and grass seed should do me pretty well.

Turned out great. This weekend's probably the last chance to do yard work before it becomes too hot out like usual.

I'm not sure about the soil in Florida. But in Arkansas, our our soil always needs lime and lots of it. Call your local county extention office, they can be a great help.
No need to resod the grass will make a comeback, just don't overdo it with the fertilizer

Thanks for all the comments guys. Makes working my butt off all week really seem worth it.
I still can't get over how much better the house looks whenever I pull into the driveway.

It's amazing how much of a difference landscapping can make for curb appeal. A buddy of mine put about $500 into his landscaping. I pulled up and I thought the whole house looked different. It looked like a completely different house. I ended up asking him if he painted.
