Well I have to get a new daily driver.
My parents don't want me driving the F-150 around everywhere, as much as it guzzles gas. Hippocrits? Yes. haha. Well anyways my dad is getting me a car of my choice, but it has to meet some requirements.
HIS requirements;
1. Fuel milage has to be in the mid-high 20's range
2. Has to be some what safe
3. Has to be under 35k
4. He will NOT buy a used car
MY requirements;
1. Has to be good looking
2. has to be fast!
3. has to have good handling, fun to drive.
4. has to stand out
I was thinking a Honda s2000, Pontiac Solstice GXP, Audi TT, Saturn Sky Red Line, maybe a Nissan 350z. What are your thoughts on these cars? Worth it? What is your favorite one out of them? Do you have nay more cars that would meet my requirements?
Yes we are still keeping the f150, thank god, he jsut want a fuel efficient car to be my daily driver.
Thanks everyone for your help

not an option, already asked. I could pay for my own gas, but he doesent want me wasting my money on it. He would rather get me a fuel efficient car. I do have a steady job, while keeping highschool grades up.
If I had my choice it would be a Mustang GT over anything you list.
But it wouldn't hurt somebody to pay for his own gas either.
Its really sad when he wants to spend $35k on a vehicle to save gas, I guess I am missing his logic.

Oh and my .02
-vehicles are depreciating assets.
-The gas you save driving a new car that depreciates at an alarming rate will never make financial sense.
Now if you just want a car, have at it. Good suggestions have been made. But the whole gas thing just doesnt work out when the numbers are crunched

If you saw his other post his dad just bought a $130k Mercedes that probably gets around 13mpg.

Anyways, i love the 350z so i would say grab you one of those.
any of those cars will get decent milage if you baby them. but when you get a car that wants to go that fast your mileage isnt going to be any better then the f150. plus your going to be putting premium into them which costs even more. any why not a used car? nothing wrong with sloppy seconds
I know, but I thought someone that could afford something like that from their own business would have more sense than that.
Don't worry, I see where you're coming from and I agree.
All things considered, here's my choice for you:

263 HP and fuel mileage to boot.....okay, not an econobox but it ain't bad on gas-19/26 mpg. While I don't have any numbers, it should beat up a Mustang GT pretty good. Weight to power ratio should put it in front. Top speed 155mph. It's on Car and Drivers 10 Best List and the engine is on Wards Ten Best list. And 0-60 mph in 5.8 seconds- not bad.
