He actually fought Roberto Duran, and he has a song about it. That's a good one. Also, he has a new cd out that I really like all I've heard off it.

I'd recommend:

- Downtown Babylon

- Joanie, The Jehovah Witness Stripper

- Mission Temple Fireworks Stand

- Rise Up

I don't like many re-made songs. I usually always like the original best. Even in this case. However, 311 did do a pretty good job with The Cure's..Lovesong.

Original:

most remakes suck **** in a bad way.

one of the better remakes I've heard is Sonic Youth doing SUperstar (the Carpenters)

Killswitch Engage's version of Holy Diver is awesome.

SRV doing Little Wing is quite possibly the finest moment in history on the electric guitar.

I also like how the Ataris covered The Boys of Summer.

Dope - You Spin Me 'Round (Like a Record) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2o5ma6is4xY

BiGod 20 - Like a Prayer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NGZyICEf0o

KMFDM - Mysterious Ways http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sKylKnG84aY (ignore the hillary stuff, this was the only link I could find)

Raul Malo - Run to Me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IaN-9gXxqg4 Some Raul, although not the Bee Gees cover

those would be four of my favorites.

Oh, almost forgot. I've got a Garth Brooks album on my computer (The Hungry Years) of him doing all covers. Mrs. Robinson, American Pie, You Never Even Call Me by My Name, Only the Good Die Young, etc.
