Disappointed

There is a car show going on today and tommorow at the Regional Special Events center in town, and I went today. Mostly older cars and corvettes.

There was also a row of mustangs, a couple of fox bodies and 3 new ones (05+), including one "GT-500" I've seen around town.

I see the yellow "Gt-500" at the end of the row and get kinda excited because I've seen it a few times and always wanted to get a closer look.

I stop at a regular Gt 2005 first. He's got the Saleen body kit, but it's justa regular GT... looks good, but I was kinda disappointed when got closer.

Next was a 95ish maybe 94 mustang Gt with what I thought was a 351 under the hood because the side of the hood has "351" painted on it. I look at it and it's just the regular 302. The owner walks up to me and says "Yep, it's a 5 litre!" Big Whoop! Another disappointment. It had a few bolt ons but was still a regular 302.

The car beside it was the "Gt-500" I had been waiting to see. As soon as I turn around, I basically get slapped in the face. It's a plain mustang GT with Gt-500 body kit on it!!!!!!! What an ***! And he had really gotten tacky with it.. put monitors everywhere and bought every pice of chrome he could find to stick under the hood. Pathetic!

I knew people around here had bad taste, but my expectations were a "little" higher. Now they're MUCH lower. *Sigh*

I had to rant to someone.

There were alot of nice, older cars there. They're always nice to look at, but being the mustang fan I am, I was highly didappointed in those guys mainly. It's false advertisement!

I'll say Shelby first because it has such potential for large numbers easily.

Second is Roush now that they have the P51 (510 hp) Mustang.

Third is Saleen just because I hate their spoiler and plastic rear end.
