Not if I can avoid it!

If you want a sport(y) bike, there are a lot of better bikes out there.

I know someone who had one a few years ago. Nice looking bike.

He bought it new, and really liked the bike, but did not get to ride it much. When it came time to sell, he had a very hard time unloading it. I think he was unpleasantly surprised with how low the resale value was.

had a 99 X1 Lightning.......absolutely LOVED that thing!!I test rode a couple of the newer series and liked them, but felt it was too sportbikish with the seating. The older tubers had more of an upright seating to it.They are a little harder to get rid of,until you find someone who appreciates what a Buell is.(I'd buy mine back in a second!!)(and I LOVE my Suzuki M109!)

No, but I have a friend that has one. It has been pretty good to him. Pretty different compared to other bikes.

i've ridden a couple of them for test rides and such. no long rides. the first impression is awesome. wheelie king, super flickable through turns. long term i think the ride would be uncomfortable.
i ride sport bikes normally so the riding position for me was a little too upright. would i buy one as a first bike....i've thought about it.
as a second bike to buzz through town or tight roads in a heartbeat.
