not sure about VA law but I believe in MO, a handgun can be passed on in event of death or gifted before the age of 21. (Straw purchase does not = gift)

Wait so I could have one if someone gave it to me for say my birthday or something?

I think I'll just stay with the shotgun until I'm 21 because my mom is a little nervous as it is with firearms.
