Dealers

Last week, I took my truck in to the dealer to have the transmisson flushed. There were coupons on genuine ford parts web site from that dealer. I called and made an appointment and took my truck in for the service with the coupons. The service rep was very offended at the low price of the coupons, 109.95 for transmisson flush and, 59.95 all filters changed + oil changed. When I made the appointment, I was told this included air, oil, cabin air, and fuel filters.
When I got there for the service, I was told that they could not use motorcraft parts as they were too expensive and I had to have have my transmisson filter changed at an additional 240.00 dollars.
I pointed out to her that the coupon said "Genuine Ford Parts" and I would pass on the transmisson filter change. She said "NO", she couldn't do that.
As I was leaving without getting my truck serviced, I ran into the owner of the dealership who I have known for almost 40 years and bought many vehicles from. I asked if this was a new policy?
When I left the dealership with my truck serviced washed and vaccumed with lifetime oil changes for free, I realized that sometimes bad service is not always the dealership but just a bad employee.

Amen!!! An employee represents the business they are employed at and unfortunately most employees in this country either hate their job or hate themselves to much to care (or they just don't speak english). That is why I love my job still after 9 years at the same location. Integrity is a powerful advertising technique!

Next time you go in for a free oil change - see if that service advisor is still there.

Congrats. That's service. I run into the same problem. Many people hate fast food cause of a bad visit, but in fact its just the employees.
