2008 Ford Edge Opinions?

My little sister is getting ready to buy her a Ford Edge, and I was wondering if anyone one here has one? It seems like a solid vehicle. This one has the moonrooof, 12 month Sat package, 17 in wheels, stone leather interior, and black slate pearl color.

I really like the black slate, but I wish that the interior had black leather. She likes the stone, so I guess everything is well. Only bad thing I noticed at the dealership was that the exhuast tip was rubbing on the bumper, and had even melted the rear bumper a bit. The exhuast tip even had melted platic on it. I wonder what the fix for that is going to be. Hopefully a discount or maybe a new bumper. Anyways here are some pics. Any opinions?

I just got an almost every option XLT and lovin it. 21-24mpg and a very solid feeling vehicle. It will be good for her. Very easy to drive. My escape aint even as nice as that one! Oh, she's pretty happy, justy not thrilled that I made her standd in for a picture. My parents and her are going back to the dealership tonight to look at it again. (My dad didn't make it the first time) Glad to hear you getting that kind of mileage. She is trading in a Ford Focus that was a program vehicle, and it got good mileage.

Yup, thats definetly an Escape. They are nice vehicles as long as she doesnt need to to tow anything.
Me personally, Id go for a Explorer V8 over that Escape because you are getting a bigger, more cable vehicle that gets close to the same fuel economy; but if she likes the Escape I cant see her going wrong with it.

yeesh, what planet are you on octane?

Close to the same mileage? a 5-8 MPG difference is not close .

Besides, explorers are overpriced, especially with the v8 n the usual dealer markup.

It's true that mostly women seem to drive these, but I wouldn't be ashamed to have one. This thing is nice!!!
I love how smooth the steering is.

It's funny that you'd label something for women, when you were verbally sucking the penises of Tom Brady and Randy Moss a couple months ago.

Thats is a nice truck, but I think its a V8. That's one of the nicer Superduties they have had in a while. Everyone has alot of work trucks right now.

It's a 5.4 or a V10.

I believe just a 5.4 if I remember right. Alot of dealers in this area are only ordering the superduties with the V8 and V10. The diesels are becoming very hard to sell these days.
