Purchase a mechanical mole trap from hardware store. Traps work better than poison, smoke bombs, etc. You mave have grubs in your lawn.

in the wonderful liberal state of washington, moles have rights.. you can't get a trap that kills anymore. Friggen idiots. But to get rid of moles and any other burrowing rodent, put down insect killer on the lawn 2 or 3 times a year. It kills the bugs that moles eat, so moles won't come to your yard. Works every time.

If you don't have a dog, borrow one from a bud. Moles will usually shy away from a yard with a dog in it. If you happen to actually see one you can take a flat hoe, or a shovel and kill it pretty quick. Check at your local co-op, too. The guys in there will have the skinny on what works best in your area.

If you've got moles, you've got grubs. Get rid of them, the moles will look for food in your neighbors' yard!

Alright, I don't know how to work on trucks, but I do own a pest control company so I might be able to help with this one. Grubs is an old myth. All of the new research shows that the majority of a moles diet is earth worms. The newest mole bait is actually shaped like an earth worm. The PRO product is called Talpirid, but they do have a sister product that they sell at Lowes or Home Depot under the name Tomcat. It is fairly pricey so be sure to follow the label directions. If you need further info you can post here or shoot me an email.

P.S. Most people don't have much luck with spike traps.

Funny you mentioned this. I just bought these tonight at LOwes for $27 dollars. http://www.bizrate.com/pestcontrol/oid559332026.html.

They are sonic mole spikes. I heard they work from some people.I am willing to give it a shot. I have tried Taliprid worm bait, traps and pellets and nothing works. If Moles are disturbed enough they will eventually leave. Another thing I am going to try in milky spore powder this year http://www.planetnatural.com/site/milky-spore.html
Moles feed on grubs and earth worms, supposedly milky spore takes a few years to work but it will rid grubs.

Talpirid has been 100% effective for me, but I also use it way more than the average homeowner. There is a learning curve. It took a few applications to get it right. Now I'm deadly.

We have 2 cats. When we first moved into our house we had moles pretty bad. They must have killed 30 of them in the last 18 months. No more moles.

So you still need to find the active mole tunnel and put this Tomcat down the hole? I dont remember the stuff i tried last summer and it so did not work.

I did get one of them with a post hole digger bc the stupid thing dug into the hole I was digger.

I am buying a .22 for the ground hogs but it would be to hard to shoot the mole.
