Starting to have a big squirrel problem, HELP!!

As the title states I am starting to have big squirrel problem at my house. First the little _____ chewed through the siding on my garage, in 2 places, and got into the attic. Then they chewed the sensor wires for one of the garage door openers, luckily they didn't chew on my of the electrical that I could find. I think that I have that problem fixed, I hope! That was about 3 weeks ago. Then just tonight I heard a noise outside the house, I go outside and see a squirrel on the side of the house. My dog was outside with me and starts barking at the squirrel. It then runs up to the top of the chimney, then all I could see what a tail sticking out of the chimney (which is no longer used but I have to reframe part of the roof in order to tare it down).

I am going build a cap for the chimney tomorrow after work to hopefully solve that problem. But then I am just guessing that they will try to get in somewhere else. I have tryed looking on the internet, but I havn't come up with any good ideas. I am going to try a live trap to get rid of them, but what else can I do?

Any help would be GREAT!!!

Paul

If I could shoot them I would have my 3.5" 12ga turkey loads all over them, but unfortunatly I can't since my house is in the village limits, so guns are out. Except for my old pellet gun, which isn't nearly as fun as my 12ga or even 7mm would be.

Mothballs. Simple as that. Put mothballs in the attic. They can't stand the smell and will move on to the neighbors house.

I will try that in the garage.

Wire mesh, or solid aluminum flashing, nailed up over any possible openings, mothballs too.

And then a nice little .22 or even a .22 pellet gun.

If you've never had the bushy little rodents in a stew you don't know what you're missing.. very tasty!

I can give my recipe if you'd care to bag and clean 4-6 of the critters.

kill one, then put drops of its blood around your attic and outside of your house or wherever they're getting in. Other squirrels wont go anywhere near the smell.

I will say that shooting a squirrel with a slug is the most fun, but not so legal in city limits.

Killing the squirrels is a good idea....But killing them for dinner is friggin' hilarious! Did one guy just offer up a recipe?

Just go to a store that sells hunting equipment and ask for a bottle of red fox urine or coyote urine. Spread it around the perimeter of your house and around your chimney the little bastards won't come back.

We had a problem with squirrels. Then we let them make a hole in the side of the house and hired a guy that put an electrocution device circling the hole. When the little guys (we had two of them) came out of the hole they got zapped and killed. They guy charged $30 a squirrel. It was worth it to be done with them.

moth ***** are a good Idea. just don't put to many and make sure you place them where youcan retrieve them if the smell inside gets to bad.

Had a friend once ~~~~~
Anyway we had to get some of the mothballs out of the attic so he could live in the house again.

I was thinking about rat poison for a problem I have here.
I wonder if they will eat it?
