my credit cards stop me at 75 and my debit goes until the tank is full on my truck...it sucks when your a teenager and your first car is an excursion with a 40 gallon tank and get 8 mph and you have to pay for gas lol

I think I've taken my debit to $75 before my tank filled. I have yet to hit my limit.

Yeah I was going to say, I was at the local gas station the other day (Chevron) and I filled up my truck from empty and a couple of 5 Gallon gas tanks and it ran me around $100 IIRC.

Filled the truck up Tuesday with my Discover. Cost $78 on 1 swipe, I dont use my debit to buy gas anymore since I have a rewards gas card, and when I did use my debit gas was cheaper and my tank was smaller.

Yeah I have had a pump shut off at $50.00 filling with diesel. I think this is a safety thing so stations don't get ripped off for a large bill if some one takes a run without paying. I was in a rather shady side of town when this happened to me.

Thats why I love my gas card for my company van. I now average $75-$85 per fill up.

It has to be the stations. At some I can go to as much as I need, upwards of $80, and certain stations will stop at $75. . .

The one I go to doesn't max out until $110 and I max it out everytime I get gas. The sad part is I never let the gas tank get any less than 1/4 full before I fill up.
Stupid carbon tax.

this is all very interesting.

up here in canada, i can tell u ive only maxed out once and that was during the lame gas crisis a about a year ago. the pump stopped @ 75liters (19.8gal) and that was the station trying to even out the gas distribution, so it wasnt even a $$$ max out.

the credit card i have never maxed out, and the highest ive gone is 108$. (its a visa)

the debit card, you have to choose a max $ amount, 20, 50, 75, 100, or other. ive punched in numbers as high as 150$ and its never said its too much.

im curious as to y you all get maxed out.
